Thebucketlist

Cast - Jack Nicholson, Morgan Freeman

This movie sees Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman come together in a
schmaltzy comedy drama about finding your joy in life before its too
late. A predictable enough buddy romp is somehow helped out of its hole
by two charismatic legends who never have to move out of third gear.

Cole (Nicholson) finds himself sharing a hospital room with fellow
terminally ill patient Carter (Freeman). Despite owning the hospital,
Cole’s policy of ‘two to a room, no exceptions’ means the unlikely
friendship with working class Carter has already begun.

Whilst bonding Cole discovers a list of Carters outlining some
ambitions he’d like to realise before ‘kicking the bucket’. With money
to burn and time short for both they decide to embark on an exhaustive
round the world tour that makes a mockery of the chemotherapy currently
on their daily menu.

Yes its flawed and far-fetched but Nicholson is as wacky as ever and
some funny one-liners may just about keep you from reaching for the
sick bucket.
